Egypt’s former president Hosni Mubarak, who was ousted from power in 2011 after the popular revolution, died at the age of 91 in a military hospital in Cairo. His death was confirmed by the presidency on state television. Mubarak had long battled illness and was recently admitted to a Cairo military hospital’s intensive care unit.
