The impact of the COVID-19 is witnessed across the globe in this regard the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) also cancelled its schedule to conduct the general election in the country. The board made clear that plans to hold general election according to the existing timetable is impossible due to COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore the board announced the cancellation of the timetable issued previously and temporarily halted activities related to the upcoming general election, which was scheduled to take place on August 29, 2020.
