Al-Shabaab terrorists have readied inner military bases in Kenya, killing three American Department of Defense personnel and destroying several US aircraft and vehicles before they were staved off.
The assault on the Manda Bay airfield in early January was the al-Qaida-linked group’s first attack against US forces in East Africa and the military called the security situation “fluid” several hours after the storm.Five attackers were killed, Kenyan military officials said.
Based in neighboring Somalia, Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the assaults. Within a week, Kenya as witnessed three terrorist attacks perpetuated by Al-Shabaab militants.
