The U.S. Department of Transport has slapped a fine amounting to 420,000 USD on Ethiopian Airlines for operated in restricted airspaces while using US carrier designator codes.
In a statement on December 12, the USDOT said it has fined the Ethiopian Airlines the stated sum for operating flights carrying United Airlines’ designator code.
Golf carriers Etihad and Emirates have also been penalized for similar violations.
